Our daughter has a very lean build and always turns blue when swimming regardless of the pool and outside temperatures. We tried out the warm Skinz this past weekend and she was able to swim for at least an hour without shivering and the classic blue lips. I will mention though that the neoprene makes the shirt more snug-fitting than the regular UV Skinz shirts so, depending on the child, they might require a larger size than usual.

The Warm Skinz are a great idea, more expensive but does keep you warm! I noticed when I had the regular sunshirt on my toddler that she was shivering in the swim class. Then or the next class I put on the Warm Skinz sunshirt and she was not shivering and enjoying the class more especially when coming in and out of the water. There is one problem though with the shirts...they roll up a bit in the water if the shirt is not form fitting/tight. I would recommend the shirt, just be prepared to pull the shirts down when in the water and pay a bit more.
