Enright Melanoma Foundation

We are constantly coming into contact with incredible awareness advocates and non-profits making a difference in the world of “melanoma”. Recently, the UV Skinz Team was introduced to the Enright Melanoma Foundation, and we were instantly floored by their passion to educate our youth about the importance of sun protection. “To raise sun safety awareness and to help prevent melanoma through education and early detection”…An organization with a mission after our own hearts!

Founded in 1999, the Enright Melanoma Foundation is dedicated to the memory of Joseph E. Enright, MD, a Summit Medical Group internist who lost his battle with malignant melanoma at the age of 37. Much like the basis for the passion behind UV Skinz, this organization is inspired by a man who lost his battle much too early, and who left behind a wife and young children. Because of our shared missions to foster increased awareness of melanoma, it was no surprise that our paths crossed and we decided to partner with Enright to help educate others about importance of sun safety through Enright’s Sun Safety Certification Program™! :)

This FREE online program takes the learner through a number of fun and colorful scenes that depict everyday activities where we enjoy the sun. Engaging visuals and a highly interactive user experience make learning about sun safety FUN & EASY through this e-learning platform, which is personalized for three specific age groups:

  • 5-8
  • 9-12
  • 13 and over
ACE

Upon completion of the course your child will be rewarded with their very own Sun Safety Certificate! The Enright Sun Safety Certification™ Programs use the Enright Sun Safety ACE™ to guide learners through various topics. This easy to remember acronym is a unique way for children to learn and remember the key takeaways from the course.

What is ACE?

  • Apply: Apply sunscreen whenever you or your child will be exposed to the sun.
  • Cover: Wear clothing, hats, and sunglasses that protect the skin (like UV Skinz!)
  • Enjoy! The sun doesn’t have to be scary. Properly educating children and young adults on sun safety awareness will allow them to enjoy the many benefits the sun has to offer while staying protected.
