The Melanoma Risk Calculator
Australians can now predict their lifetime risk of developing melanoma in less than a minute. Thanks to researchers at Melanoma Institute Australia, our friends down under have an online calculator to instantly know their likelihood of getting the disease.
The Risk Prediction Tool factors in a person’s characteristics like gender, age, hair color, and mole count. It also takes family melanoma history and tanning bed use into consideration.
The purpose of the calculator is to help physicians spark conversations about sun protection habits with their patients.

The tool is free to use, but not too valuable for those living outside of Australia. Results vary depending on the region of Australia a person resides.
We need someone to create a US version with all 50 states to choose from. Any good coders out there looking for a fun project?
