UV Index Finally Makes It to Google Watches

Earlier this month, Google announced an update to the Weather app on their Wear OS devices. This update adds the current location's UV Index to a Google watch, making that important information readily available.

 

 

This addition catches Google wearables up to the Apple Watch, that has had the ability to display UV Index for a while now.

Now that even more people will have the UV Index at their fingertips, we just need them to use that information when planning time outdoors. Staying out of the sun when the UV Index is highest can lower your chance of sunburn or developing skin cancer.
