The Steps Against Melanoma Walk Comes to Sonora

This past weekend, we had the pleasure of participating in the first Steps Against Melanoma Walk in our hometown, Sonora, CA. It was such a great day celebrating melanoma survivors and honoring those who lost the battle with this deadly disease.

Steps Against Melanoma Walks are events held throughout the United States. They serve to increase awareness and generate funds for melanoma research. The walks are managed nationally by the AIM at Melanoma Foundation.

Each individual walk is championed by people in the local community. They take on organizing and promoting their event. Our Sonora walk was put on by Stephanie Bowen, a stage IV melanoma survivor, and her family and friends. They really did an amazing job.
