“What’s a Sunburn?”
Each May, in honor of Skin Cancer Awareness Month, UV Skinz includes a free UPF 50+ Baby Sun Shirt (size 12 to 24 months) with every order. It’s our way of helping the youngest among us grow up sun safe so they never have to experience a sunburn.
Each shirt features a simple but powerful phrase: “What’s a Sunburn?” A playful reminder of our mission to raise a generation of kids who never have to feel one.

Why It Matters
Just one blistering sunburn during childhood can double the risk of developing melanoma later in life. Protecting little ones early is not just about preventing a burn. It helps build habits that support lifelong skin health.
This is our 18th annual My First Skinz campaign. Over the years, we have distributed thousands of sun shirts to families, hospitals, and pediatrician offices across the country. It is all part of our mission to eliminate preventable skin cancer by giving families the tools and knowledge to stay safe under the sun.

Join the Movement
Whether you keep the shirt for a child in your life or pass it along to another family, you are helping shape a future where “What’s a Sunburn?” is not just a phrase. It is a reality.
Let’s protect their skin and their future together.

Make an IMPACT Again This Year
Not everyone has a baby in their life, and that is okay. This year, you can choose to keep your complimentary baby sun shirt or donate it to a baby in need.
Through our partnership with IMPACT Melanoma, a national nonprofit focused on melanoma prevention and education, donated shirts are distributed to families through hospitals, clinics, and community programs.
Whether you are protecting a little one you know or supporting a family you may never meet, you are helping make a real impact in the fight against skin cancer.
