Staff Accountant

Join our passionate and dedicated team in Sonora, California, and become a part of something bigger than yourself. We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support our growing company. This position reports to the Director of Finance and offers a unique opportunity for personal and professional growth.

 

This is a full-time, salaried role with an annual salary range of $60,000-$75,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, and eligibility for a discretionary end-of-year performance bonus based on individual and company performance.

Responsibilities (Including but not limited to)

  • Process A/P and A/R transactions, including department and expense classification
  • Enter, reconcile, and resolve transaction discrepancies
  • Assisting with general accounting tasks including G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing
  • Prepare and organize sales, product, and financial data in Excel to support reporting needs
  • Calculate landed costs on inventory receipts and assist with inventory analysis
  • Perform other projects or duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

  • 2+ years of prior accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably with inventory knowledge
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data validation, Pivot Tables/Charts, and familiarity with macros. Experience with Power Query is a plus
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, MS Word, internet navigation, E-mail, and 10-Key skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates honesty, accountability, and strong character
  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with multi-tasking, prioritizing, and efficient time management
  • Positive outlook on life and a good sense of humor
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
  • Reliable and autonomous work ethic

Job Type: Full-time

 

Pay: $60,000-$75,000/Year

 

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM PST, with some flexibility.

 

Ability to commute/relocate: Sonora, CA 95370: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred).

 

Physical Setting: Office

 

Experience:

-   2+ Years prior accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably with inventory knowledge.
