Happy Don’t Fry Day!

The National Council on Skin Cancer Prevention has designated today, the Friday before Memorial Day, as “Don’t Fry Day” to encourage sun safety and skin cancer awareness.
We would like to help further promote skin cancer awareness today by encouraging you to give yourself a skin examination. Even if you have no medical training, no one knows your body like you do and you will likely be the first one to notice any early sign of skin cancer forming. Since skin cancer is typically very treatable if caught early, this simple skin examination could also save your life!
When checking your skin, it is important to remember your ABCs. If you notice any moles that are Asymmetrical, have an irregular Boarder, are not one uniform Color, have a Diameter larger than that of a pea, or are Evolving drastically, contact your doctor and arrange to have a professional skin examination as soon as possible.
This video is also a great resource for helping you find early signs of skin cancer forming.
